We arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where we took a few days to recharge and to organize. After parting from the Italians I was traveling alone again, going to Koshkor from where I would start my one week trip through the stunning Pamir, driving long stretches of the way right next to the Afghanistan border.
Coming down from the highest pass of the Pamir-Highway I reached Karakul lake at almost 4000 mas. The Pamir is an astonishingly diverse, yet always harsh landscape, with intriguing people. Along the shore of Karakul lies a small village with the same name, where I spend my last night in Tajikistan before crossing the border to Kyrgyzstan.
