While I’m waiting to receive my Iran visa (it’s my fourth and final attempt) I’m based in Tbilisi from where I’m doing excursions for treks and visits in different parts of the country.
Tbilisi translates to „a warm place“, referencing the hot sulphur springs in the heart of the old town. The dome shaped roofs of the underground bathhouses form an urban plaza with a very distinctive topography.
Tbilisi is a good place for biding ones time, as it’s not just the thermal water, but even more so the generous and hospitable culture, that make it „a warm place“.
